The U.N. crime-fighting office said Tuesday that 2.4 million people across the globe are victims of human trafficking at any one time, and 80 percent of them are being exploited as sexual slaves
IOM will host its fifth annual awards ceremony to honour individuals and organizations that have made outstanding efforts to combat human trafficking in Ukraine on 2nd December, the International Day for the Abolition of Slavery.
Following last week’s signing of a cooperation agreement between IOM and Mexico’s National Human Rights Commission (CNDH by its Spanish acronym), a mass information campaign was launched in the northern border city of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.
